Note storiche e Scopi::		History and Aims:
La Società di S. Ubaldo è un'associazione della Pennsylvania e non alcun scopo di lucro. La società persegue lo scopo di mantenere e promuovere l'antichissime tradizioni riguardanti S. Ubaldo di Gubbio e la "Festa dei Ceri" che vennero portate a Jessup dagli emigranti Italiani tra la fine del 19° e l'inizio del 20° secolo. E così, l'aspetto culturale di queste tradizioni sarà conservato sulla base di un accurato e corretto contesto storico. La Società si adopererà per promuovere e difendere queste tradizioni come sua principale priorità, e in seguito, la Società lavorerà per salvaguardare i propri beni con la custodia, la manutenzione e la visualizzazione di questi oggetti con grande rispetto e la cura.		The Saint Ubaldo Society is a Pennsylvania Non-Profit Corporation organized under section 501 (c) 3 of the Internal Revenue code. Contributions to the Society are fully deductible. The Society shall exist, in part, to perpetuate and promote the very old traditions surrounding Saint Ubaldo of Gubbio, Italy and “La Festa dei Ceri”, which were brought to Jessup by Italian immigrants around the turn of the 20th century, and in doing so, the cultural aspect of these traditions will be preserved based on accurate and proper historical context. The Society shall seek to promote and defend these traditions as its main priority, and further, the Society shall work to safeguard its possessions by guarding, handling, and displaying these objects with great respect and care.

La Commissione per "the Saint Ubaldo Society Cultural Center Foundation" è stata insediata il 1° agosto 2007 per sovrintendere alla realizzazione del nuovo "St. Ubaldo Society Cultural Center"

The Saint Ubaldo Society Cultural Center Foundation Committee was established on August 1, 2007 to oversee the new St. Ubaldo Society Cultural Center. In addition to its supervisory role, the Foundation is spearheading the fundraising effort for the new center.

Festa dei Ceri a Jessup 2009 Quest' anno, la Festa dei Ceri in Jessup è il 23 maggio, anche se non è l'ultimo sabato del mese di maggio. La ragione è che ogni anno in America  c'è una festa Nazionale chiamata "Memorial Day", con la quale si rende onore alle Forze armate. Questa festa è l'ultimo "lunedì" di maggio, (quest'anno il 25). La festa a Jessup è prevista per questo weekend perché da ai visitatori un giorno di vacanza in più (sabato domenica e lunedì). Ma il prossimo anno (2010) la Festa sarà il 29 maggio, ultimo sabato di Maggio.		St. Ubaldo Day 2009 This year the Festa dei Ceri in Jessup is May 23, even though it isn't the last Saturday of May. Each year in America there is a holiday called "Memorial Day", where we honor the troops who fought in each of our wars. This holiday is the last "Monday" of May, May 25th. The Festa dei Ceri is scheduled on that weekend because all Americans have a National Holiday on the Monday of Memorial Day (This year May 25th), and it allows our visitors an extra day to travel back to their homes. But the next year (2010) The Festa will be May 29 (the last saturday of May).
